Detroit - Two professional hackers, one of whom worked at the National Security Agency of the United States (US), demonstrating how they rip off hundreds of cars from Fiat Chrysler and control it remotely.

Automotive News reported, hacker named Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek take over control of the Jeep Cherokee production in 2014 while driving on a highway St Louis, Missouri, USA.

Both hackers were told that they exploit vulnerabilities in the system Jeep, especially infotainment system called Uconnect System is connected to the internet with control via a touch screen of 8.4 inches.

While successfully controlling the Jeep, the two hackers who commit crimes via portable computer at home is able to turn on the radio, wipers and fluid, even turning off the engine and disable the brakes.

The two hackers this action plan will be presented at a conference in Las Vegas next month. Not to imitate other hackers, but to convince Fiat that their system is very easily broken.

Thus, it is expected Fiat, as well as other automotive manufacturers, can immediately improve the system so that there is a weakness exploited by malicious hackers. Fiat itself promised to update its infotainment system is.

To note, though most people consider hackers are criminals, but basically there is a group of hackers who commit crimes precisely in order to become a better security system. Groups such as Miller and Valasek is commonly called 'White-hat hacker'.
